New Zealand obliterate USA to surge into 3-0 lead in America’s Cup final – Telegraph.co.uk

Well, a question from the desk. Cycling nerd John MacLeary wants to know whether the cyclors on board the New Zealand boat wear trainers or cycling shoes. Wear cycling shoes, he reckons, and their power output will clearly be greater on their pedestals, but utter rubbish for running across that trampoline. Some form of hybrid? Anyone know the answer?

Tweet in @MilesDilworth or @JohnMacLeary. We are dying to know.

Meanwhile, here is New Zealand cyclor Simon Van Velthooven, who won a bronze medal in the Men’s Keirin at London 2012, to explain why light winds equal hard grind for the boat’s muscle men.
