A female Fox News host was told on-air she was giving America an erection by male colleagues, hours after Bill O’Reilly was dumped from the network over sexual harassment allegations.
The crude comments were made by male panelists to The Five co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle during a round-table on-air discussion this week.
Referring to the dress she was wearing, panelist Greg Gutfeld told Guilfoyle: “I think you’re giving America a raise. “
Attention moved to Guilfoyle’s wardrobe after fellow panelist Bob Beckel complained people were not listening to him properly.
But when Guilfoyle told Beckel to “call your camp counselor”, he replied: “Call your dressmaker, I mean…”
Seemingly trying to brush off the comments, Guilfoyle suggested she would call her dressmaker to “give him a raise”.
But then, fellow host Gutfeld interrupted with “You are giving America a raise”.
The comments were reportedly met with stunned silence from the live crowd, while Guilfoyle exclaimed, “Oh my God”, before seemingly trying to laugh them off.
However, eyebrows have been raised over the alleged “sexual harassment” given that Bill O’Reilly was dumped from the same network that day after the disclosure of several sexual harassment allegations made against him made by female colleagues.
Many people have called out the comments online as “inappropriate” and “sexual harassment”, while others dismissed it as “light banter”.
Fox News has not publicly commented on the incident.
