The Southeast Asia Major 2017, the largest fighting game tournament in the Asia Pacific region, will be back at GameStart 2017 in Suntec City, Singapore, on Oct. 14-15.

There will be three featured tournaments at SEAM this year, making it the biggest rendition of the major thus far. SEAM will play host to the Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Asia Regional Finals, the Tekken World Tour Asia Pacific Regional Championships and the Windjammers Asia Championships, with a total prize pool of more than $50,000 between the three events.

Street Fighter V players will vie for $30,000, and $15,000 will be on the line in the Tekken 7 tournament. The Windjammers competitors have a $6,500 pool.

In addition to the three big tournaments, Guilty Gear XRD REV 2 and BlazBlue Central Fiction will be represented.

With the regional finals of Tekken 7 and SFV already locked, SEAM 2017 will provide a spotlight for players that cannot travel to international events, but the tournaments have plenty of star power, too. Some of the notable players slated to appear at SEAM include: Team Razer’s Kun “Xian” Xian Ho, Red Bull’s Masato “Bonchan” Takahashi, and Echo Fox’s Yusuke “Momochi” Momochi.

There will also be newcomers as well, that qualified for the regional finals, like Zowie’s Li-Wei “Oil King” Lin and Sian-He “Xiaobao” Jung. For Tekken 7, some big names will be in attendance like Echo Fox’s Jin Woo “Saint” Choi, Yamasa’s Nakayama “Nobi” Daichi, Kato “Yuu” Yuji, and Abe “Take” Takehiko.
